Haven't used it but i was exploring all the options recently. I am not sure but the interest amount seems quite steep to me. More than a personal loan from bank. What are your thoughts?

The interest rate is quite ridiculous but I was looking at it more from the point of using it to have less to pay if unsuccessful. I think if you are successful it means paying a lot more than you would if you just paid clinic direct... Just depends on circumstances. I got a quote back and the non refund amount was more than £4k with another £8k+ due if successful so 1 cycle would be over £12k if turned out to be successful

I know, that was the advantage of Gaia over a loan. My non refundable amount was 3k. If 3 cycles don't succeed, we will have paid 9k. Which is better than any other options but then am i betting on my failure 😞. These are all money making businesses. Have you also looked at Access and Assured fertility plans.

I am inclined towards Access multi cycle plans. They also have a refund option but i do not qualify anymore after failed cycles, beating myself up for not choosing it the first time, lack of knowledge and discouragement from the doctor.

I looked at both Gaia and Access and ended up taking a bank loan in the end. I didn’t qualify for Gaia on age grounds, and interestingly my doctor also dissuaded me from Access. Access also meant paying it all back within a year but was interest free - doable but a stretch. Good luck both with your journeys and decisions ✨

This is quite suspicious of doctors. Thanks for sharing your experience 🙂. Still deciding

Hey I'm with Gaia - so far so good as we only got one round on the NHS. So far another 3 rounds in 18 months, which to achieve without Gaia would have taken us probably another five years to afford. The "pay back amount" is calculated based on the amount of rounds you need x
