Jobs or careers for moms

Hello all. So I’ve been wanted to get a job and it’s been difficult since I’m a full time mom and my little ones are going into tk. I cannot get a part time since they only go for 2 1/2 hours. I’ve always wanted to try real estate been a bit curious since I can remember but never pursued it. I’ve asked someone I admired about it and she said it’s hard and the market isn’t that great. I honestly felt like she didn’t want me to do it. I’m very aware that the market is very competitive and things are very expensive. I don’t want to stay in a 8-5 pm job. If I do I’d rather do something that catches my eye and be around people. I love helping people and looking at homes so it’s something that interest me. My husband doesn’t care if I work or not so I can do it part time full time. I just want something were I can be me and social that I can enjoy. I’ve worked in offices in the past and managed an office so I know I can do it it’s just working and failing that scares me. I know it takes a lot of work and time I just don’t know where to start. I’m thinking of getting my license first and then I can try it out of course but I’m clueless. What advice would you give? How do I start. I want to take this time I have at home when my kids are at school to get my license and study or learn. I hope I don’t sound dumb to anyone. I’m also being realistic and I know it takes years for someone to make a good chunk and get it rolling. Any advice appreciated thanks

There are full day TK programs maybe see if you can find one, So you get more time to study and work part time, 2 1/2 hours isn’t long enough to do anything.

Thank you fianna I’ll start doing that and pray on it ❤️

Your welcome, I hope it works out. My son’s all did full day preschool and TK so hoping you’ll be able to find it

If you want to, go for it. Some advice is real estate isn’t as cut throat as it seems. You need to have connections, attend networking events, put in endless hours to market and find clients etc. If a brokerage employs you, they can drop you if you’re not showing anything for it. As for the exam , most people pass and if you don’t, you will likely get refunded for it. They want you to pass! You’re also not going to be paid for the hours you work as it’s independent and you’ll just share commission. I think it’s great to give a shot and I wish you all the luck! 🍀
