I started working as a BT a month ago (not yet certified). It's based on ABA (applied behavior analysis). The BCBA (like a supervisor) gives you the program you have to implement with the child. These programs are pretty much skills and behaviors that the child needs to learn and others that need to be unlearn (extinction), so pretty much you praise or reinforce the child when it's applying the behavior and hold the reinforcement when it's not

@Vanessa I did Rbt before I was in the process of getting certified but things happened and so I went into daycare field .. I just what’s opinions on what they enjoy about being an RBT or daycare teacher 😭

I don't know anything about daycare, but as an Rbt, you are 1on 1 with a child, and you will have to run programs and document it every day. What it was hard for me at first was to be the reveing end of angry outbursts from a child

I also debated that as well. I have been an RBT for three years now and it definitely pays more than what you would make at a daycare. The pros of working in a daycare is that your child can attend and you can be with them and has the same schedule as you. I think working as an rbt is like a bigger advancement in your career because you are providing therapy to children and helping them progress

@Jadah Sanchez I dm you
