Made redundant after returning to work part time

Hi there, Just wondering if anyone knows regarding being made redundant after coming back from maternity leave? I have come back and about to hit 10 years with the company next week. Do they pay my redundancy per week at the base rate of full time or part time? I worked the whole time full time except for the last 3 months when I came back. Thanks

Speak to fair work

That is awful I’m sorry to hear that. Same thing happened to me, but I wasn’t anywhere near as lose to LSL 🙃 We’re you on a part time agreement for the short term while returning to work? Or did you sign a new permanent agreement for part time working?

You can use this calc online calculate.fairwork.gov.au/endingemployment

Also you should know that you can try to negotiate on your redundancy if you feel it is unfair.

Try made me sign a variation contract when I got back for the part time

*they

Can you msg me separately sorry im very interested in this as ppl were made redundant 2 months before i got back n im very worried that they will do this to me. I called fair work and theres no case law so I just went in a circle. (I work in hr and i dont even no the answer)

Unfortunately fair work has not been very useful at all with the information

With the variation contract was that an ongoing change to part time? Or temporary?

Have they given you a redundancy calculation?

Temporary

When i spoke with fair work they told me to call law access? I think its free advice

Oh thanks so much! I will definitely call them. Have also booked an appt with someone specializing in the subject
