Fertility after birth
Hey girlies… I’m 4 weeks postpartum and my partner and I are both keen regaining some more of our sex life back! For the time being we’ve been using condoms but neither of us enjoy it fully when using them… I’ve been on the pill now for over a week so in theory it’s safe to start trusting that as our main contraception however I believe that fertility rates can be increased after birth so should we continue using condoms as well as the pill for now or can I just be on the pill ??

I struggled to get pregnant for 3 years, I’m 3 months postpartum and I got pregnant 😂 the rumour is definitely true 🤣
Technically, the pill should be enough. But I understand the hesitation. If anything as the first comment said, I'd speak to your GP

Id speak to your GP, youre supposed to wait 6 weeks till you're fully healed but me and my partner did a little early with condoms but the 6 weeks is because your placenta leaves a big wound inside your uterus so you're at a much higher risk of infection especially if he finishes inside you
