Contraception

Has anyone struggled with contraception after birth? I tried the Depo and bled constantly on it I then went onto the pill and bled constantly on that too, now I am nothing I just have regularly monthly periods. I have been on both the Depo and the injection before birth and I didn’t bleed continuously on them.

I got the mirena coil a few months pp and bled continuously for I think 3 months. Which can happen, but then it slowed down. Now I have the slightest period. What did your doc say? I would guess that your hormones after birth on top of the other hormones just went crazy. Both those contraception methods have a higher amount of hormones they release then the coil.

Yep! I tried the patch and my periods were coming pretty much every 10 days. I’m now on the pill which I have to take continuously as I got diagnosed with endometriosis.

Yep- issue after issue, i have tried the injection and 2 lots of pills pretty much on every 10 days. I can’t have any other type of contraception so is really frustrating. I have been back and forwards from the GP and now have a ultasound booked as well as blood tests x

Yes! I tried the depo and bleed all the time, tried the implant and bleed so now I have the implant and taking the pill to see if it will sort it out. So far so good so hopefully they said after 2 months on the pill my body should regulate

My daughter went on depo a couple of weeks after giving birth and bled for a full year continuously & is the same on nothing now and has regular monthly periods x

I used to be on the depo my periods completely stopped while being on the depo injections , I haven’t been on anything since having my baby xxx

Have kyleena coil for 8 months now and some spotting first 2 months then nothing and 3 weeks ago guess my period came back (reduced bf) so have had some form of blood every day only light but annoying so considering seeing gp to get it checked :(
