@Monae thank you. these are the exact two i’m debating on. i might do fidelity cause it doesnt have a monthly fee it seems.

@Monae ok one last question. how are you transferring into the account. i tried to add them to my direct deposit but it states the numbers are incorrect and it wont let me connect to my bank. seems like a lot to try to use paypal and venmo
@Jay’Da i did to my external transfer through my bank website and setup the transfer through them to deposit into the custodial acct so instead of trying to add the external account info through fidelity on there site, I did it with my bank directly so maybe try adding an external acct with your bank so they can do the transfers for you.

I setup a custodial account with Fidelity. It’s an account for a minor, you or anyone can make deposits to it, no withdrawals and at the age of 18, funds are turned over to her child since they’ll be an adult so they wouldn’t qualify for the account any longer. So far I just deposit $50/month and my plan is to use some extra money from like taxes to make bigger deposit into the custodial account annually since it’s her money anyways (speaking about my LO). The account totally free to setup but several banks have those acts as well, I just had a money market with fidelity so just added the custodial account for my daughter when she was born. Hopes this help
