Pico dressing

Has anyone had a pico dressing for their wound? I got an infection last time so I qualify to have a pico dressing this time round I’m due Christmas Eve. Are they worth it? Are they a nuisance?

I had pico dressing. For me, it was really helpful as a first-time mum, as I didn't need to bother about the scar while recovering and adjusting to the baby. After the week when it was removed it was healed nicely, I had other issues later with the scar, but it's surgeon fault 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had a pico, I found the tubing and the battery pack a little annoying at the start (just trying to figure where to put it) but after a few days I was used to it. Just clip it to your waistband and if I was out I wore tracksuit bottoms and put it in the pocket. It's really easy to take off and put back on the battery pack for showering too. I found it was good, it healed my incision well. Unfortunately I got cellulitus and a nasty infection a week later which reopened my wound on one side but that was nothing to do with the pico.

I had a pico dressing and like the first comment, was grateful of it as a first time mum. I wore the big maternity pants and just clipped the battery pack to the waistband of those! I ended up having problems after it was removed but that was due to my baby being in hospital and couldn’t air out my incision enough and got infected!

I found it annoying. It failed and had to be changed at 3 days post op and then 7 days post op I got it removed and my healing was shit. My insicion has opened in 2 places and had a decent bleed. I have had 3 c-sections previously and no issues

I had one I didn’t know what it was and I went in 7 days to get it out was just weird but It was to drain infection I’m pretty my buzzed too

I had it and it didn’t really bother me that much, I just clipped it to my underwear and moved very slowly as obviously I was sore afterwards and having it taken off was less painful then getting waxed 😂. The only thing that was slightly annoying was when it would start to dry my incision in the middle of the night as the vibrating would wake me and my partner up x

I've had two now and both times my wounds been fully healed externally by 7 days and by 12 weeks the first time It was invisible I'm 10 weeks pp this time through the same scar and it's flat and white already so I reckon a few more weeks and it'll be invisible again

I had one, didn’t even realise it was there till the first time I stood up and it crashed to the floor 😂 I dropped it a fair few times 🫣 but as a whole I liked it I healed really nicely no infection and by the time i took it off I had healed so much! I was expecting it to look so much worse!
