If you’re on maternity leave it’s ok if it’s regular EI you won’t get paid while you’re away
As long as baby is travelling with you, it won’t be impacted! If you leave baby in Canada, it could create some issues!

It doesn’t get impacted.. but you should inform them. I went for 2 months without informing and there was a letter that was sent and I missed responding and they stopped my EI payments. I had to call multiple times post that to get it started again.
