Hi Kulwinder! I'm going to message you now. I fully intend to negotiate pay as my company is really progressive around everything else and our maternity allowance doesn't match our vision and values. I've paid for a few "talks" that go into detail about maternity pay but haven't watched them back yet. If I have any useful nuggets to share I will.

I haven't but you 100% can. If you go on nugget website I believe they have some help on it and a database of materials and mat policy
Yes! My work was stuck on just statutory pay and i asked why and backed it up with several points as to why its old fashioned and needs changing and HR basically said that no one else had said otherwise so they were looking into changing it, so 100% if you don’t ask you don’t get ☺️
What do you mean? X It feels like as someone potentially disappearing for a year, we would be in a very weak position for negotiating.
