I went through a difficult situation and she listens to your concerns and helps you navigate through them so it safe for you and baby. Whatever you do please don’t go to the baby wellness clinic. I also had Dr. Vandersluis and I agree he is absolutely amazing!
I had Dr Lavoie and she was amazing taking care of me during both pregnancies and delivering my 2nd :)
I also had Dr. Vandersluis and he was amazing. But Dr. Kalani was the OB on when I went into labour. The nurse delivered my son (super grateful for) as Dr. K didn’t make it in time but she did deliver my placenta and threw it out right away. I asked if she could check the placenta to make sure it was all there and she said that she didn’t have to and the at it was all there. Less than 5 hours of being discharged I was rushed back to the hospital because I was passing pieces of my placenta. Thankfully my OB was on call at that point and I was readmitted for additional day with no further complications
I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Adare. She’s young. She’s capable. She has children of her own and she understands everything a mother goes through during pregnancy and she has the resources if you have perinatal depression.
Dr. Lavoie was on call when I was induced. She was great when we had some scares during the delivery, keeping me informed, getting my baby out safely. I will say that at the beginning of my induction, she did a rather rough cervical check on me that I was extremely uncomfortable with. I had had other OBs do cervical checks on me earlier that week that were much less forceful. My regular OB was Dr wu, who wasn't at RVH when I was in labor, but I really liked him.
Dr vandersluis is amazing!! The OB that delivered my first was awful and I’m sorry I don’t remember her name. Dr V was my OB but wasn’t on call for my delivery. There are 7 of them I believe. With my second I was with midwives but I was induced so my care was signed over for the delivery and Dr V was the on call OB and we had a great experience.
