Baby boy name. 🩵💙🩵💙

We've chosen the name Rowan for our little boy due the 1st of Nov, but I'm worried he might get picked on. I know it's not a usual name but also nothing too strange. So his full name will be Rowan Denis Sam puckering. Is that too mouthy or wordy ? Me and my husband like it but don't want to make my LB's life harder later down the line because of a name, if that makes sense? (Denis, after my husbands grandfather that raised him and Sam after my auntie passed away from cancer before she could meet him). His middle names are really important to us. we did consider them as first names, but denis felt too old, and my husband has a stepbrother called Samuel and felt too similar. Please be honest!

I think it’s lovely I don’t know why you think he would get picked on for it? X

@Jo becyaee the actor Rowan Atkinson plays Mr bean. I told my friend the name, and he just burst out into laughter. It just made me doubt our decision x

@Amy ah okay well I’d probably understand if you was calling him Bean but Rowan is completely fine in my opinion so try not to let it bother you, there’s a little boy at school with my boy called Rowan :) it’s a really lovely name and the middle names obviously mean a lot to you which makes it even more special. X

@Jo 🥰 Thank you. It makes me feel a lot better! X

It’s a beautiful name with such meaning to you and your husband. This is your baby so don’t let anyone make you doubt your choice! I’ve had “unwanted opinions” on my baby girls name. And quite frankly I couldn’t care less! We are calling her Teddie and the amount of people that are judgey over it, is annoying and odd x

I think this is a lovely name, not unusual or anything that I can see being picked on x

@Jai I like that name for a girl! That was on our girl name list. Thank you for the reassurance 🙏

@Amy ahhh no way!! It’s such a beautiful name isn’t it. People are so judgemental these days. As long as you are happy with your choice, who cares🩷

Very true! We do love it (and honestly, the only name husband and i can agree on🤣) 💗 x

Currently reading through Throne of glass (iykyk) and love the name Rowan!!!

@Morgan I've not read it but heard good things x

I think it’s a beautiful name x

@Amy I’m on book 5 of 8, would absolutely recommend!

@Morgan I'll give it read while on maternity, give me something to do while baby is sleeping :)

I think rowan is quite an ordinary name and a safe choice and I think it’s becoming more popular lately

@Elle I gave a Google earlier, and it's the 64th most popular name so gmits getting to there

I think it's a great name and pretty popular in Scotland

It's a nice name, nothing weird about it

It’s really nice and there’s no way someone would pick on that name

@Amy I mean I’m not gonna lie, if you try telling a few other people and you get the same response, that might be a good indicator of things to come. But maybe rather than saying his full name with middle names, which you wouldn’t do much in everyday life anyway, try just saying his first name and surname together a few times and see what you think. But ultimately it’s up to you and your husband. Hope that helps 😊

I taught quite a few Rowans. I've never heard of anyone picking on the name. There are some *wild* names out there... Rowan is not one them, I don't think. Lovely name 🙂
