Potty training.

So my LG has not shown enough readiness signs at all until this last week. The trouble is I'm back at work from my second mat leave with her little sisters on Aug 5th. I'm paying a damned fortune to have her in nursery that I had to arrange last Sept because of wait lists. So my quandary, everything I've read so far advises starting when you have 3 or 4 days in a row at home... well, I won't have that now until Aug Bank Holiday... I can't really take any holiday days sooner because hello I'm just back from b2b mat leaves and honestly I am loathed to pay for nursery days she is not there when it's so fecking expensive. Do I wait until bank holiday and miss a potential earlier opportunity, or do I suck it up and have her home for a day she should be at nursery even though £££?

Will nursery not help out with the potty training on the days she is there? I’m planning to just start at a weekend and send her to nursery as usual on the Monday with extra clothes etc

Yeah actually they seem really into it tbh, they tell me she has the language skills already for sure. Maybe I am overthinking it all and 2 days on a weekend and a supportive nursery will do the trick...

Can i ask what the signs were? Im really not sure about it all lol (first child) im trying next friday so we have 5 days at home and this week getting her to sit on the toilet few times a day to get used to it

So funnily enough I’m in the same situation Initially planned to start bank holiday weekend but my son has been showing willingness to use his potty loads and even shown an interest at nursery and felt like why am I gonna wait a whole month just because the books tell me I need to be at home for a week and potentially miss out on this window of opportunity, So anyway last minute decision we decided to start potty training this weekend and he goes back tomorrow we’re just gonna ask the nursery to help us out in the transition and be clear in his personal needs etc x

When we potty trained my boy was completely dry and in pants by day 3 so if you start Friday night and do it over a weekend you could potentially be okay, if not just send loads of spare clothes and nursery will help too xx
