Non hormonal contraception

I saw a post earlier about contraception and it’s made me realise it’s something I need to sort 🙈 hormonal really messes with my mental health so isn’t an option, has anyone had any success with non hormonal? Other than abstaining 🤣

I'm unable to use hormonal contraception. The copper IUD makes my periods extra heavy (from experience) and can be put in as emergency contraception anyway, so my plan is for my husband to use condoms and if a condom fails I have 5 days to get a copper coil fitted.

I had the copper coil before I had my son and it was great apart from periods being slightly heavier!

Copper coil for the win here too! No having to remember to book an injection or take a pill and just remove when you no longer want contraception

I don’t know how true it is, but apparently the hormone coil doesn’t affect you the same way as the tablet contraception as the hormones are more localised. I was super hormonal on the pill, but I’ve been fine with the hormone coil x

Condoms! If it breaks you can always get the morning after pill xx

Not always a guarantee and only suggested for long term relationships but the family planning method has worked for me for years, I can't have hormone contraception and my body rejects coils
