am i being pitty?

my birthday was in may and back then my husband had a alot of work and his excuse for not getting me anything was ‘he’s got alot on his hands when the summer holidays come he’ll get me something nice to make up ‘ so i said yh sure.. its nearly august i have been asking this man like hey remember u promised a birthday gift like where is it?! plus i have saved 1000£ and he took them saying we just bought a car for 20 grand and we went on holiday and spending loads.. however he keeps spending money on absolutely UNNECESSARY things like inviting his friends for dinner and paying over £200, buying gifts for his relatives without any reason him just being nice. like if ur not gunna get me a gift with ur money at least but me a gift with MY money that you took.. what ever i want he gets for me but i want a gift.. it can be as silly for a pack of flowers for £5 but he’s pissing me off and when i told him like u spend so much on other people but when it comes to me, i need to be understanding.. he replied with i didnt get u anything because u kept on nagging.. do i have a reason to be pissed off or not.. because at any moment i feel like i would explode and have a big argument over this issue..

No you have every reason to be pissed off!

I’d just give him the same energy when it comes to his birthday!

I’d be pissed off. You’re not nagging him either you’re voicing upset over feeling disrespected and let down. Partners who don’t make effort on birthdays or occasions really give me the biggest ick.. I can’t fathom why someone wouldn’t want to make their significant other feel special on their birthday.
