Has anyone gone through pregnancy without prenatal care?

Odd question but I live in Florida and do not qualify for assistance because I “make too much”. I live paycheck to paycheck and my insurance does not cover maternity care and I cannot switch because I am going through a law suit with them now. Anything out of pocket is roughly $1,200/month and we cannot afford it. I don’t have any more options and I need help. My question is, has anyone gone through pregnancy without prenatal care and had a healthy baby?

At least you can try to find a community health center, every appointment is pretty cheap, with urine and blood tests is less than $100 (once a month) and the ultrasound its like $160 (every other month). The vitamin are like $11 per month. The most expensive thing will be the delivery I guess

yes! i would go with a community health center or a women’s clinic! at the women’s clinic i used to go to when i had the lowest costing insurance, i was really amazed at the care i received.

Find a good prenatal vitamin, I prefer the tablets over gel capsules or gummies and one bottle will last longer than your pregnancy. I do agree with everyone and look into a community clinic as most of these even have a flexible scale for payments based off your income. You'll most likely only have 2 or 3 ultrasounds during your pregnancy.
