Under the weather ahead of egg collection

This is totally random, but on the off chance thought I’d ask in case anyone else has experienced anything similar… I have my egg collection in roughly a week, but in the last week or so I’ve had two styes (infection in my eye), and have also had a pretty bad reaction to an insect bite (a patch on my leg about 25cm x 25cm in size is swollen, hot and red), so my body is clearly trying to recover from both. I wondered if anyone has have small issues like this (so not actually being ill but a bit under the weather) ahead of an egg collection, and did it make any difference to the outcome?

Probably totally different, but I had my egg collection Retrieving 21 eggs and the next day I actually tested positive for covid. I didn’t realise I had it until after, that being said I have a very healthy little boy from that cycle, I did have a frozen transfer of him x

That’s Chloe, that’s so interesting! We’ve been really worried as so many people have Covid at the moment, so we’ve been isolating where we can… which is sort of why its frustrating that I’m still not 100%!

That should say “Thanks Chloe”!

I wouldn’t think that minor ailments like what you’ve described would impact treatment, or your chances of getting pregnant, but your body is obviously feeling a bit run down. I had my first stye a couple of weeks back and I think it’s being postpartum (and so tired) that’s triggered it! If I were you I would be prioritising looking after myself this week. Cancel anything unnecessary and gets lots of sleep, fluids and eat well. If you can cut out anything stressful that would also help. Fingers crossed for you! X
