Aptamil or Kendamil?

From birth if breastfeeding doesn’t go to plan. Has anyone researched into this or experienced both? Also I know there’s kendamil, but then is Kendamil organic version better? Xx

I been giving my daughter kendamil since birth not organic and I also got the comfort too if she has colic or couldn’t do poo and that has helped so much

@Derya Heyy What made you choose Kendamil in the first place? I hear a lot of talk about how it’s really good but also some people say it’s too rich for baby and can cause gas or constipation? x

i always had Kendamil as the last resort if breastfeeding didn’t go to plan and it was mainly because of the ingredients that it didn’t contain palm oil and that the ingredients are quite natural so I just gravitated towards it my mum used aptamil with my brother 10 years ago but I’m not too sure of it x

Also I have never had no issues with kendamil my baby has thrived on it but every baby is different x

Honestly depends how your baby takes to it. Kendamil is honestly the best formula that we have tried! We tried others as he had bad colic but he just didn't take to it. We combi fed by the way!

We first used kendamil and then used kendamil organic in the first stage but I feel like baby was more hungry with the organic when on stage 2 we used normal and then twitched to organic but there was no difference tbh at all sorry i literally didn’t even see the question about the organic version being better x

I chose kendamil has heard such good things about it and know few people that used it

Thanks everyone, this was super helpful!

My little one has been on kendamil since birth, always done really well on it but the organic one did upset her tummy

My LO is breastfed but when we go onto combi feeding (I’m aiming for 6 months) I will be going onto Kendamil for all the above reasons. We did give him a few ready made bottles on day 2 of his life as my milk hadn’t come in yet but by day 3 he was on full breast.

Kendamil all the way! Its worked well with my little one, hes 7 weeks. I tried aptamil, but he got constipated. Then I tried cow and gate, but didn’t suit him well at all. Someone else also recommended Kendamil, so we switched instantly - he loves it!

We used classic Kendamil it was around £10 a tin for 900g back in 2023 and is now £12 for 800g tin and we found the smell and taste nicer than Aptamil. My son thrived on Kendamil and just in general like the clean ingredients etc.

@Hersimran K Ahuja interesting! did you go for normal kendamil or the organic ? Seems like the normal is perfectly fine from what I’m hearing x

Use kendamil organic baby never suffered colic or any issues with it she’s 1 now - Liked the ingredients and also all made in England so was a plus for me

I stopped breastfeeding and went to Kendamil in the end and she’s loved it! Unfortunately she’s had to stop having it from yesterday due to CMPA. She was on the normal Kendamil
