Maternity leave and holiday 🩵

Hi ladies, so my holiday starts from 1st May and I’m given 23days to take… my maternity leave starts on the 28th October. Am I still entitled to the full 23 days?

it depends on the company. My holiday also started from May to May of the following year, but until September I could only take half of the 23 days of holiday. You need to ask your employer x

Annual leave and bank holidays accrue as normal during maternity leave. How you take them will need to be agreed between you and your employer whether that’s prior to mat leave starting or before you return.

You still accrue holiday during maternity leave, so you’ll get the 23 days regardless. However your company may have their own policy on whether you are able to take them all prior to maternity leave or only a portion. If you can only take a portion they legally have to allow you to take them at the end.
