RIGEVIDON contraceptive pill

Since starting these pills I’ve noticed low mood, changes in appetite, tender boobs. Symptoms that are similar to early pregnancy. I’m wondering if any of you ladies have had similar side effects and if so do they subside with time? I’m only on my second packet and already thinking of stopping them.. xo

I’ve been prescribed them to replace my old microgynon pill which I never had a problem with. I haven’t started the rigevidon yet but I’m a bit worried as I’ve heard other people have similar experiences as you 😖

I changed to levest and was much better as after a year my symptoms did not improve xxx

This was years ago but I was on rigevidon and I had the worst side effects, the worst mood swings and just wasn’t myself. Ever since I stopped contraceptive pill as a whole it was the best thing I’ve ever done for my MH and body. Everyone is different but if you know it’s not working for you, definitely change or find another form of contraception like non hormonal ones xx

Same as Becca, I felt so much better when I came off them (pre-pregnancy) that I've decided I want to avoid the pill altogether this time around

They tried giving me it, but I always research the pills given to me before I take them. The amount of negative stuff from forums on it made me think nope! The pill I was on last (gedarel)I definitely won't be going back on as every time I peed the water turned red during my period & the cramps where unbearable (my contractions on the drip were less painful!). I was taking 70mg of codine, paracetamol & ibprophine just to be able to walk upright, 5 months in (admitidly we were also eating mostly vegetarian at this point due to the cost of meat) I was servery anemic.

I had them with my first daughter nearly 7 years ago and I came out in acne and I was having suicidal thoughts. I came off it and went back onto desogestrel and felt so much better xx

I’ve decided to stop taking them. Thank you ladies x
