Myo inositol

I’ve always had slightly irregular cycles usually ranging from 32-36 days. In march I started taking a prenatal and 2g Myo inositol twice daily. That first cycle I started taking it I had a 49 day cycle. I put it down to the vitamins so stopped taking them and then the next cycle was 33 days, so still on the longer side but much better. Then I thought maybe I just need to be consistent with them and give it a few months to see if it works so started them again and have now had a 46 day cycle. Did anyone else have a longer cycle when you first started taking inositol? I dont know whether I should stick with it and see if things get better after taking it for a couple of months or just stop taking it?

I had a very good experience with inositol, after years of infertility, my inositol baby is now 8 months old! I recommend giving them more of a chance and be consistent x

@Emily aww amazing, congratulations! Did you take anything else with the inositol? I do t know whether it’s the inositol causing the longer cycles or the prenatal so might just take the inositol alone to start with x

Thank you, yeah I was taking metformin long term (10 years) which helped regulate my periods but I think I still wasn't ovulating properly, inositol helped me conceive the first cycle taking it and I honestly don't think it was a coincidence after 6 years infertility, unfortunately we had a miscarriage but 5 months later I fell with my daughter x

I have had the same experience with taking myo inositol unfortunately. 🙃 My gyno recommended it to see if it would help regulate my period/ovulation and it’s just made my cycles seemingly longer. Started taking it about 2 months ago along with a prenatal vitamin. My cycles have always been irregular but not this irregular. They had been averaging 34 days in a cycle and since taking myo inositol I have had a 54 day cycle and now I’m on day 94 of my cycle with no period. 🙃 I’m about to finish the bottle of myo inositol and then stop taking it. My gyno has now prescribed me Provera to trigger my period back. Best of luck to you!

Has anyone got a brand or paticular company they recommend?

I’ve heard you have to take it longer like 6 months plus to see results. I had a regular cycle for two months, but then some of my medications and life styles changed so it may have made me off for the next month after that.
