First Cervical Exam
I will be 38W5D tomorrow and I plan on asking my midwife to check for dilation and effacement tomorrow. It will be my first cervical exam. Did anyone else get checked at 38W5D? Were you dilated at all?

Practice relaxing your pelvic floor. Watch a YouTube video or something but this will help. I was almost 3 cm and 70% effaced.
I was 2cm and 50% at 38+5

I will also be 38w5D tomorrow my due date is July 24th and I’m getting my first check tomorrow also I believe I’m also getting a membrane sweep to start things up! I’m kinda nervous but just know ur not the only one! We’re almost done!!
I was checked at 38+5 and was only 1cm dilated. He didn’t tell me how hat % effaced I was but expected me to need cervidil at my induction scheduled 40+2. It made me start loosing my mucus plug though and my water broke right at 39 weeks. Had baby at 39+1.

My dr starts checks at 36 weeks so I was checked that week. I was already at 3cm and 80% effaced at that point. This is my second baby though.
