My LG had one back in may last year when she was 10 months. She had a high temp of 39.4 one time went to 40 and was very clingy ect. 111 sent out an ambulance because of her temp and they took her in. The hospital wasnt going to check and was going to just send us home it was only because i said her urine smelt strong and was a dark colour that they checked and it came back that she had a uti she she was given a course of antibiotics and she was ok after a few days. Her urine smelt like weetabix when she had it thats how i knew something wasnt right random i know but thats the only smell i can describe it smelling of
Yes my son had one and he had a really high temperature and was so sad and nothing was making him feel better, we went to the drs who made me collect his wee in a pot (that was difficult) but we managed it and they tested it and gave him antibiotics and he was back to normal, I gave calpol before we got the antibiotics and had a fan on around him to cool him down, lots of cuddles too!
My daughter did this at one point, but a few days later she was fine so I dont think it was a uti. I think I gave her like an oatmeal bath to sooth it and put on rash cream. I think it may also be them noticing the sensation of peeing now but not being able to decide the feeling before just yet to try and potty train. I'd so the oat bath and rash cream and see if it's better in a day or 2. Uti tests require urine collection and that's obviously not an easy task with a toddler.
