Most companies don’t allow people to work while looking after children. If you have someone to watch your child utility companies I work from home for my local water company.

Right

I don’t think they would do that. Could always ask around companies and see. but unless your telling them your child is physically else where or in a different room looked after. They probs wouldn’t suggest to you to do it. Just incase your on a meeting:m/call and baby needs a feed etc x

You will get the 15 free hours from September and you still get the 20% tax off the balance remaining. My daughter goes 3 full days a week to a childminder and from September will be £250 a month I’ll have to pay. May be worth looking into

Remote work that pays well usually requires a technical background, also you won’t be able to work full time if you also have to take care of the baby yourself. I think you can look for a part-time job that allows you to work shifts. As long as you’re under employment, I think you can apply for tax free childcare and the 15-hours free childcare if your baby is under 3, from age of 3, you can get the full 30-hours. With the 15-hours, your child will only get half the day free if you plan to have them go to nursery everyday of the week, you’ll have to pay for the differences if you want them in nursery for a full day every week. It is term-based, so the next term you can have your baby starts in nursery is September, though usually nursery gets full very quickly, so you’ll need to hand it application early, you’ll have to do a bit of research on that. I would suggest looking around for a nursery for your baby now, then start applying to jobs you can do and explain the circumstances

@Jennifer I don’t have access to child benefit so I’m not entitled to the free childcare till he’s actually 3
