Copper IUD review?

I never trusted any of the IUD's, they made me feel funny but now I have my tubes clamped and you can't get them undone and I get a lot of pain from this procedure so it's a lose lose 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had mine for 5 years then my body in other words rejected it and I had to get it taken out which was fine since I had already planned to take it out anyways. Never had an issues with it just when I got it i laid in bed all day because of the cramps but other than that never gave me issues

I had mine for about 5 years and when I went to check it with an ultrasound because I kept getting a metallic taste in my mouth they said it had moved out of place and there was a chance to conceive but didn’t know when it had moved. I also have very light regular periods and when I had the copper IUD I had very heavy irregular bleeding (it did eventually get semi-regular after 2 years) but honestly glad I took it out. I hope you have a different experience to me! 💕

I am glad I came across this post. I got my first copper IUD a few weeks ago. I only felt a very mild cramp the day it was placed and nothing after that. My doctor said I might have some bleeding, but I really didn’t have any besides a few spots during the first week. This could be because I am breastfeeding. My baby is 3.5 months old, and I haven’t gotten my period yet. I was very worried about getting the IUD because I heard stories where women bleed for almost the entire month and have bad cramps, etc. So far, I haven’t had any of those experiences. But I do still feel nervous about having something in, lol. When my doctor gave me my birth control options, I chose this one because it was the only hormone-free option.
