Period pills

Hello ladies. So, I'm after advice please, mainly if any has had any personal experience on this. I currently take Cerelle tablets for my contraception (have done for many years). However my periods since childbirth have been all over the place. As in, sometimes I don't get one for 6-8 weeks, and sometimes they come one week after another. I am going to change my contraception method soon. However I am due to get married soon. So what I did was go to the docs to get something to stop my period for my wedding. The doctor gave me Norethisterone tables to take as well as my Normal pill. So my question is... Does anyone have any experience with being on Cerelle and Norethisterone tablets specifically? Did it work to postpone? Any side effects? Etc etc. Thank you!!

Me! And yes, I took norethisterone for my wedding and honeymoon, because my bleeding on cerelle was so irregular I didn’t want to chance it! It worked for me, no side effects.

@Chloe thanks so much! Can I ask how far in advance you took the Norethisterone tablets? Thanks!!

Honestly I don’t remember exactly, it was almost 5 years ago now, sorry! I do remember though that I told the doctor I wanted to start them earlier than what they first said, because I didn’t have a regular cycle so didn’t trust that my bleeding wouldn’t have already started etc, so they gave me some more. 3 tablets a day was a bit annoying, and on my honeymoon I did occasionally forget one here and there but still didn’t experience any bleeding until I properly stopped taking them.
