NHS Funding

Good evening! After years of waiting, we finally got an approval from NHS for one cycle of IVF. However, we had one private cycle before (2 years ago). We got the approval in May 16 and NHS said that the clinic will contact me when to start. Our chosen clinic didn’t contact me so I called them in June. But I just recently turned 40 in June 21. Now they are saying that since I am 40 and only allowed for one cycle ( including the private one) I can’t continue the cycle. My question is the funding is already approved technically before my 40th so it’s should be okay and I can go ahead? . I am feeling hopeless and really sad about this. Anyone that had the same experience, please share some of your thoughts. 🙏 thank you all
