First and last baby for you?

Had my first at 34 going in 35 which was this year as much as I want another I’m leaning towards this being my one and only we shall see.

I had my first at 31 and my second at 36. I'd like a 3rd before I'm 40. Lots of women are having babies later so I'm hopeful for both of us. 😊

I was 30 (he's 11 days old) when I had my last. I have a 2 year old LG. I've always wanted two, one of each. So if I was older I would say my cut of age would be 38ish. It's a difficult one, as I couldn't say unless I was ever in that situation. I completely stand by woman, that have had issues falling pregnant and do so at a later age! Every woman, deserves to complete there family how they want! Of course there is always a risk to 'being older' & pregnant but there is risks with any pregnancy of any age. I say, if your still very healthy & active & have the means to conceive again, there isn't a problem! Xx

I’m 35 and pregnant with my first. My sister in law had twins at 43 through ivf and they are healthy and happy girls! I know a few other women who have had babies in their late 30s and early 40s!

I just had a baby 5 months ago and I'm 40 in a week. I had my first at 33. I find I get more tired with the night feeds compared to the first. However, I had a better birth this time around.

I'm 43 and had such a long IVF protocol this is our 2nd attempt in a year and a half (1st silent miscarriage) I always wanted lots of kids, but didn't realise I had problems! Also, only finding one guy who wanted children in my late 20s who turned out to be the wrong guy to have lots of kids with - we had one...then struggling to find the right guy until I was 36!!! It's been a tough time for us both having older kids with additional needs (now living with other parent!) and I had tried to give myself a cut off age (35, then 38...then 40.....!) But I gave myself a midlife crisis trying to grieve/accept not having anymore and my life quite empty atm... My Husband and I didn't reach the right mental space until 2 years ago and we like the idea of having one more after this, but we'll see how the rest of the pregnancy and birth goes! Been so worried after losing the last one and can't help worrying about other risk factors. We had to go straight to complete donor embryo, but my body's still older 😋

I’m in the same boat. I turned 37 in February and had my first in May this year. My OB said I should wait to conceive again for 18 months (I had a c-section). I want to be done by 40 as well. This pregnancy was hard on me physically and mentally.

Nearly 37 and just had my first - he’s 9 weeks. Other half is 44 but I think he will be our one and only x

I was 32yo with first, and I conceived at 34yo but will be 35yo when I give birth to 2nd. We also want a 3rd so we might just wait 1y and try when I’m 36yo :)

Just had my first 13 weeks ago at 37. I also want to be done by time I’m 40 so need to start trying for baby no. End of next year / very early 2026 I’ve nothing to compare it to but pregnancy was ok until 36w and so far very lucky baby has become a good sleeper in the last few weeks so tiredness isn’t really an issue at the moment

You got plenty of time if you are working with a fertility clinic and are keeping an eye if all your levels for you and your partner. There’s a lots of options to give yourself better odds as you get older including freezing eggs or embryos. The egg quality is the limiting factor, but your body is usually not unless you have a diagnosed condition.

I’m in the same boat…just had my first at 37 and wanted a second. However, now I’m second guessing after seeing how difficult it’s been the past few weeks. If I do have another, I want to be done by the time I’m 40 as well so that doesn’t give me much time to figure it out!

@Stephanie same! I turned 37 in January and had my baby in March. I also had a C-section so I have to wait 18 months but if we want a second kid I want to try and give birth right before I turn 40.

I had my LG in Feb at 36 and i turned 37 in May, i had a good pregnancy aside from bad pelvic pain, LG was breach and had reduced fluid around her so was born via elective c section at 37 weeks exactly. I’ll be honest i’ve struggled since having her as she has had silent reflux which weve now got under control, for now i am 1 and done but who knows in a few years it could change but for now im content with just her
