Returning To Work

How do you manage to get your baby fed, cleaned, dressed and then yourself ready for the day all before starting work? What the hell do you do!? I'm so nervous about how I'll manage going back! 🫠

Me too. I think I will start by getting up way before baby the first few days and then sleep longer if I realise I don't need as much time 🤷‍♀️

I get up at 4am ready to leave at 0545. Gives me just enough time to get myself ready and a last breast feed as well as getting everything humanly possible ready the night before. It's a killer

@kazzarooony wow, that does sound killer! 😵

I have a toddler (turning 3 in September) and a 9 month old (turning 1 in September). I’m dreading going back to work for this reason. I leave for work at 7am too so I’m just going to have to be organised the night before and do as much as I can in the evenings so I’m not putting it all on my partner

My daughter (9 months old) goes to a childminder. I ask her to give her breakfast. So I wake up get myself ready then get her up and changed and into the buggy then wheel her round to the childminder who then gives her breakfast. Some childminders do it (after all you’re paying for it as long as you provide the breakfast ofc. And I recon some nurseries do it too)

I've been wondering about this! I was thinking I'll get up before baby and get myself ready first but every time I try and practice that he ends up waking up at the same time as me?!

I get lunches/bags packed the night before, then get up at 5:30 get myself ready and pack the car, get her up at 6 and feed her/get her ready, we then walk the dogs for 45 minutes, get back around 5 past 7, feed the dogs and leave at 7:20. She has breakfast at nursery though so I only have to give her a bottle when I get her up.

I’ve been back at work since early May. I have two older children aswell but they get themselves ready. My partner gets up first and takes our daughter downstairs for her bottle while I shower and get dressed then he goes to work and I get her bag ready dressed breakfast and out the door for 8:15. We get up at 6:30. We put the pram and bigger stuff in the car the night before
