I did speak to them, and I revert to my boss she fixed my payslip turns out she owes me money but now she’s saying she doesn’t, my last day at work was 31st March and she’s counting my pay in March as maternity which doesn’t make sense at. My maternity started on April
If you have a. HR department then go to them. If you have a boss higher than her go to them. If not then contact CAB as suggested above.
We don’t have HR she’s the only one her and the accountant, I spoke to CB already and they already said I am being underpaid. My boss said you can speak with the accountant I will speak with her and I will call accas as well

They can't claim your pay in March as maternity. With SMP, you provide the matb1 form to the employer who will in turn give that to the accountant. The accountant will then use that matb1 form as evidence for your SMP to the government so yhe company can get their money back. The company get paid your SMP AND 3% compensation (for you being out of work to have a baby) so your company cannot willy nilly choose what your pay is. On your payslip does it state SMP? Or does it state your usual pay title I.e employee pay If it states pay and they only verbally told you it's SMP then you could use that in court as evidence that it's not SMP I strongly recommend spreaking to ACAS, getting a whole load of research together then going to your boss confidently and speaking to them about it. I had to do this and when they saw I knew legally what I was talking about they did a massive u-turn If all else fails, get a solicitor, get evidence and take them to court -you could even get compensation for discrimination

Contact ACAS as well, they can start the legal process for a claim and if she refuses to engage with them then you can go to an employment tribunal
