Sweep
I’m getting the sweep on Tuesday and quite nervous for it! Anyone who’s had it that can tell me what it actually involves, how long it takes, if it hurts etc😅

Had mine today, it got pretty uncomfortable but it wasn’t painful. Max 20-30 seconds. Just remember to breathe
I had one yesterday. It is uncomfortable but it’s over before you know it, just try and breathe through it so that you’re relaxing and not tense. The midwife will check first that they can perform the sweep (you need to be 1-2cm dilated) and if they can they just do a sweeping motion round for what must have been about 30 seconds. Don't be nervous, it doesn't hurt it's just uncomfortable but only lasts about 20 seconds. You'll just had a midwife have a feel to see how dilated you are. If you are at least 1 cm they will try and swirl around
