We’ve got a soft play set for indoors, little play area for outdoors, some personalised bits mainly for nursery, and some other little bits. They won’t have a clue what the day is 🤣! To them it’s just another day but with loads of people fussing over them. They’ll also play with anything and everything. My boy has so many toys and half of the time pushes my husbands trainers along the floor chasing after them. Mum guilt is such a bastard 😅.
Firstly, YOU ARE NOT A BAD MUM 🩷🩷 I’m sure anything you get your little one he will love! They all sound like great ideas. I’ve got my little boy a trike off Facebook marketplace, some mega blocks from the charity shop, and some cars so far xx
I am getting him nothing lol, so if anyone is a bad Mum it's me. They don't need anything 'extra' at this age and will probably just prefer the wrapping paper anyway. You're not a bad Mum🥰
You are not a bad mum! They will love whatever you get them. I got my little girl the ikea kitchen. Which im hoping will grow with her and not just play with once. We got our of Facebook market place. Then more practical things like a bag for nursery etc. She has so many toys she doesn't really need any. Family have brought her practical things as well as we asked for not too many toys or some toys to go with her kitchen
Omg this nearly made me cry that you would even think that your a bad mum … the fact you even wrote this proves how much of a wonderful caring mum you are 😭😭🥰🥰 We are getting her a trike , then a couple of toys honestly I’m not going mad from experience with my first it’s just not needed!! Just have a lovely day with a couple of bits to open together, take lots of lovely smiley pics and enjoy the moment xxx
I've gone completely overboard bit it's ridiculous honestly because she has absolutely no idea, so don't worry xx
I’m literally gonna get one or Two small things and then just wrap little things like food jars etc. I know she will enjoy opening things more than anything else and so am going to spend time wrapping things rather than waste money on things she literally will not care about. Babies like packaging 😂😂😂
We haven't got much at all, certainly nothing big or expensive! He has some wooden jigsaw puzzles, a set of wooden musical instruments and his paddling pool (bought earlier this year and already used) was also taken from his birthday money. I know his grandparents etc. will spoil him with random crap he doesn't need so I refuse to add more to that. We might get a trike/ride on push along thing at some point too but we tend to get things as and when he needs them. He's also not having a massive party, just a BBQ in the garden. It's hard seeing what others can do/are doing but try not to compare. Money is a lot tighter now I am part time so we focus on the essentials - he is loved and he knows that.
