Primrose and/or castor oil

I’m wanting to start helping my body along with the start of the process.. I heard good things and bad things about both primrose and castor. Anyone have previous experience with these how far along where you when you started taking it, how’d you take it, did you combine it with taking or doing anything else and what was the outcome. I’m doing research and was also wanting to hear some personal experiences too! 🩵🩷

Castor oil is a no go, it just acts as a very strong laxative and can stress the baby out. Sometimes making them poop in the womb

Neither? We still have a whole month hun, let your body naturally do its job… Castor oil is dangerous… I wouldn’t recommend trying it to anyone. You’re essentially only going to add extra stress onto you and your baby for absolutely no reason. The last month of your pregnancy is the most vital… let your body do its job…

I agree with the other comments. Hard no. I’ve only heard very dangerous possibly deadly for your baby things about castor oil. If you want to do anything red raspberry leaf tea and 6 dates a day

I’ve just been doing the raspberry leaf tea, pumping, and having sex (apparently it helps soften the cervix) but I’ve only heard bad about castor oil

Don't do castor oil the risk are not worth it but raz tea

I hadn’t read up on any of the risks my first pregnancy (I was 19) and my aunt had suggested castor oil to just drink a spoonful so that’s what my mom had given me and it made my contractions very painful I was 38 weeks and I took it at 8pm and went to the hospital at 10pm and had my son at 7am the next day we were both good and healthy nothing bad happened I’m not saying yes to trying it or no! I’m just saying what happened with me and yes I have read everything now and have heard bad things about it this time I’m just doing to raspberry leaf tea w/ pineapple juice, sex, and walking

There are lots of natural ways to go about it that are far less likely to have bad side effects. Eat Dates, drink raspberry leaf tea, try pumping, walk&stretch lots, sex (both the orgasm & semen can help you along here)

I haven’t heard anything bad about primrose oil but I do hear it more effective as a suppository. Caster oil while it usually is effective you can’t control what it does to your body like dosage wise. Try other natural ways like curb walking, hip circles on a yoga ball, supported hip opener exercises to get baby engaged into your pelvis. Those movements can put baby where they need to be which will help labor be less stressful for baby to navigate.
