Baby name!
We have always loved Emily. However my husband has a friend with a daughter with the same name, although we've never met her and I have a cousin with the same name but have no contact with, so it's always made us not 100%.
We love the name, but we are starting to panic and doubt it and have some back ups.
Back up names are;
Florence
Charlotte
Elsie
Ada
Any advice on what name sounds the best? X

If you both love Emily, then use it. Your child will inevitably come across other children with the same name in their life time (unless you’re planning to Elon Musk it up at the last minute) so don’t worry about that. Also no one owns a name, so don’t worry about what others think either (if that’s the reason for your trepidation!). A sibling’s child is too close (in my opinion, but I have heard others say not to worry about that either!) but other than that, I think cousins you don’t see often or friends - absolutely fine. Go with the one you love! For what it’s worth - your other suggestions are all lovely too.
