Contraceptive recommendations

Now that I’m no longer breastfeeding, I’d like to go back on the pill. My doctor is pretty rubbish and I know will just put me on the cheapest first option but wondered if people can help advise what is a good pill?

My body doesn’t agree with hormonal contraception, and the risks of them just don’t sit right with me. My husband is going for a vasectomy this year.

I dont seem to get on well with the pills so had the copper coil fitted. It's fine but periods are heavy. Hope you find one that suits well xx

No one else can really recommend one for you, you have to try and find which one will suit your body. Everyone is so different so you might suit a completely different one. I only ever got on with cilest but for you it might be another one. I’d recommend just trying one out for three months to see what you think, but tbh I always hated the pill, even the one I got on with gave me loads of horrible side effects. Maybe consider a mirena coil or implant?

Pill worked great for me for 10 years before having my baby. Since I had her and tried taking the pill again I’ve been bleeding non stop 🤡 so I’m quitting and probably will try something non hormonal
