UTI

My baby has UTI, what can I do to help her ? The doctor has just prescribe antibiotics which we start tonight. Feeling like i am not cleaning her down there enough, just don’t know how she got that

The most common cause of UTI for a baby is bacteria from 💩 getting wiped up. Just be extra cautious about making sure you’re wiping down and away, using a new fresh wipe to go over the vagina and urethra area. You don’t need to do more than that, vaginas are self cleaning so you don’t want to disrupt the natural rhythm of things. antibiotics work really quickly on UTIs (from personal experience!), so she’ll be feeling better in no time 😊

Give her probiotics for babies afterwards so her gut flora recovers from the antibiotics. Wishing her a speedy recovery!
