Please bear in mind my experience was worse case scenario and my best friend was on it for years with 0 impact and it was the best decision she ever made. - non stop period for 3 years - when my period "came" I knew because it was dizzyingly heavy - put on weight, could not lose - seriously impacted my mental health My best friend however: - no period - lost weight and found it easy to lose - no impact on her mental health in the slightest It really is dependent on how YOU react to it. I got mine taken out early but their solution to me having issues was to give me other birth control tablets so I hope your experience is better should you go for it.

I had it at 16. Within 2 months I had the worst cystic acne after having super clear skin forever, they basically made me stick it out and by 8 months on it I was begging to get it out as the bad skin was not only disgusting to look at but I wouldn’t leave the house Cus of how bad it affected my mental health. Finally they agreed to take it out a year later after I said I’d do it myself if they didn’t. It took about 2 years for my skin to get back to normal but now I’m left with scars from the acne 😭It didn’t really affect my periods, they’ve always been light and irregular and they stayed that way. Probably became even more irregular. I didn’t gain any weight but I’ve always been slim. My partner at the time said it gave me really bad mood swings. Xx

I had it and had normal periods. No real side effects

I’ve had twice and both times my periods stopped but I did gain weight a bit both times and the first time my mental health wasn’t great but I didn’t have the best life at the time

I’ve had it installed last year December but nothing has changed never gained weight
