Hormone drip

Did anyone's hormone drip not work? Been on for 3 hours and my midwife just said 'they're still gappy'. Did you end up in a section or something else? And how long did it take to decide next steps?

Yes, unfortunately, I was on a hormone drip for about 6 hours, had an epidural quite soon after being on it as it made the contractions too painful. I was contracting regularly and strongly but it made no difference to how dilated I was as baby was in the wrong place. Ended in c section. Doesn’t mean it’s the same for you though. Good luck 🤞🏼

I had the pessary they had to take it out because I was contracting to much, I then had the rods and I was 2cm they popped my waters then I went on the drip for 14 hours and was still only 2cm ended up having a c-section which was my biggest fear but honestly the c-section it’s self wasn’t bad it’s really hard to remember it all the recovery however it tough I am a week pp today and only just moving around a little better x

Mine didn’t do much for a few hours, they just kept turning the dose up and I suddenly went from 6cm to 10cm in an hour! The midwives didn’t believe me when I told them I needed to push 🤣

I started off with the induction rods got to 3cm dilated. Then I was on the hormone drip for 6.5hrs - was still only 3cm after that. Ended up in c section - my section experience was positive.

Mine took a few hours, I was 1cm when they started but they upped the dose every so often and they were surprised when I asked why it felt like I needed to push x

I went from gel to ARM to hormone drip but didn't progress at all in the six hours so ended up with a section x
