Leucocytes in urine.

So my urine test today showed leucocytes but the midwife basically told me I'm probably fine? I mentioned needing the toilet more often too. Should I call my GP just in case? Also do we know what happens if it is a UTI or something and I have antibiotics. Will this mean I have to stay in hospital after giving birth, does it impact labour etc?

I had the same this week. I read that leukocytes can just increase towards the end due to increased discharge. But yeah I’m also kind of worried as you can have a uti with no symptoms but it does seem like others have experienced the same with midwives saying not to worry if it’s just a one off

A uti left untreated can develop into a kidney infection and cause labour (speaking from experience) A uti won't impact labour and the antibiotics will be oral and you won't have to stay in any extra

I had leukocytes that I thjnk were thrush. I had the treatment and it cleared. But it can be heavier discharge related especially around 3rd trimester and the heat 🥵 they worry more with a uti if there's traces of blood

I had leukocytes in one urine test at the hospital then the next day at the midwife there wasn’t any. The consultant said it could be infection but they sent it off and I never heard anything so presume it was fine, all my urine samples since have been clear x
