Middle name for Alfie???

We’ve finally settled on the name Alfie for our little boy due August but stuck for middle names. The most common suggestion is James but partners middle name is James so doesn’t want to reuse it for our son. It took us a long time to even agree on Alfie as we both have really different tastes in names 🤦🏻‍♀️ Any ideas are appreciated!! (He’ll also have a long double barrel surname)

Aw I love Alfie James but I’m biased as I love a family name as middle name and my sons middle name is James 😅 I think one syllable would be nicest. What about Alfie Jude?

@Isobel Haha that’s the thing I love it too! It’s my FIL’s first name and partners middle name I even suggested having my partner follow suit and give Alfie his first as a middle name but he’s really stubborn 🥲

That way everyone's happy

@Maggie Alfie is a really common name in the UK in its own right. Makes sense to name them what you want them to be called as Alfred could also end up being Fred/Freddie
