You have to make sure the item you’re ordering to get the minimum for the free gift is an item sold and dispatched by Amazon.

I remember it was hard work to get my free items but if I remember correctly, you have to wait so many days after setting up your wishlist to be able to order the free item when you spend £20. You can only get a free item when ordering items eligible so you need look at who is dispatching the item, I think it needs to be Amazon UK or something

We created a wish list, added an item that was over the amount and dispatched by Amazon, then added the free gift item we wanted. It’ll look like it’s going to charge you in your basket, but then when you go to check out, it discounts the full amount of the free gift. I did it on my account and then my partner made a new Amazon account and did it too, he didn’t have to wait or anything. He just had two items on his wish list too, the free gift and the crib mattress he was buying.

I created a wishlist and bought few items including a bedside crib so was definitely over £20 and I checked and it was sold and dispatched by amazon but never got a free item, on some of the items I got a discount but that's it. And even now when I add items sold and dispatched by amazon over £20 from my wishlist no free item comes up 😮‍💨
