How did you processed your adoption process?

Hello there. I’m from Mexico and the concept of “adoption agencies” doesn’t exist here, so we’re having the process by the government children protection agency in a different state of our residence. After two years when our papers were lost, three social workers who took and passed our case, psychologic counselling and two times applied psychological tests, Hubby and I finally were found suitable for being adoptive parents. Our social worker told us we will log into revision for our file by legal authorities and match to suitable kids files, this step could take time and we will be notified anytime for travel to meet with our to be children. We are very happy and excited for become parents, but also somewhat nervous about how this process will be. Adoptive moms, how was your experience? Can you bring us some guidance, please? We are applying to adopt 1-2 siblings kids between 0 and 8 years old. We have no biological children (I’m infertile)

Congratulations!! I can’t offer guidance, however my husband and I live in the US and are submitting our dossier to MX this month! Message me if you’d like to chat! It’d be great to go through this journey with someone else ❤️

Hi! I just adopted in the us. I think the part I felt most unprepared for was the grief I felt for my baby and for her birth mom. It’s such a happy process for me, and such a sad one for them. Also this has been the best experience now that I have the baby. She’s lovely and the world has been so kind to us. We go to court soon to make her officially mine. Crazy to not be in the process of proving myself to adoption workers anymore.
