Freebleeding

So I just started my period today. I’m kinda low on supplies, as I didn’t calculate it right. My husband doesn’t get paid until the end of the upcoming week. So I thought about free bleeding and just only use the pads that I have left maybe on my most heavy days or when I’m out and about. Now I’ve never done this, first time. And idk how to take it lol like just walking around the house like nothing is happening. I think I should tell my husband about my choice in doing so. Idk. If you have any tips or pointers (if you done so) please tell me. If this goes well this time, I might just keep doing it in the future

I guess I don't understand the concept. If you're free bleeding you still need something to absorb it, like underwear specifically made for it. Otherwise, you're just going through all of your clothes. I started using a cup a few months ago, game changer and totally wish I had done it sooner. They're inexpensive and reusable, so you don't need to worry about buying overpriced menstrual products.

@Heather it would only be for the days that are not the heaviest, so for me that’s like the first day and like the fourth & fifth day. And I’ll be at home majority of the time anyways & I basically wear sweats all day everyday so me messing up my clothes wouldnt be that big of an issue

When I didn’t have money for sanitary products I used rags (and honestly my flow is so heavy if I didn’t use period underwear + menstrual cups now (well not now now since I’ve barely 1/2 way thru this pregnancy 😂) I would probably still do that when I’m home (& generally i have to stay home bc of the flow & other pain Etc symptoms I get bc I have endo) just bc they are so huge & absorbent and I don’t have to worry about potential toxins in comercial products that always end up in the news Etc 😳

When I used pads or tampons they always leaked and I ruined so many of my clothes like that the cups plus period underwear makes it much less likely
