has anyone here gotten pregnant while having the IUD? i haven’t taken a test because i’m probably not, but the last two weeks i’ve been waking up in the middle of the night to pee and last night for dinner we cooked pizza and i literally could not eat it. i only wanted chocolate cereal.

I had a friend that did. I know around the time I should get my period all I wanted was cookies lol

I am currently 8w1d with an IUD baby 😅 I had started experiencing some nausea and I was exhausted, then I realized that I hadn’t gotten my period (I was having two light periods prior to then). I thought there was no way but I tested and it popped positive before I could put it away to let it develop….they successfully removed my IUD and said it was perfectly in place 🤦🏻‍♀️ I saw baby at 6w1d for a second ultrasound after two rounds of beta HCG testing and not seeing baby on the first ultrasound! It’s been a wild ride, but definitely test/get checked out because it’s possible!!

As Rachel said, it's definitely possible! Funny comment: when I had my first IUD placed, the nurse specifically reminded me that if I was going to try to get pregnant, to have it removed...well duh lady 😂 why would you be actively TRYING to get pregnant while on a form of birth control 🤔😂

My sister in law got pregnant with it in. They did a bunch of scans to try to find it but never did. They assume it must have fallen out on its own.
