Protein powders/nutrition?

Hey everyone! I’m always having a tough time getting enough protein in and ordered this 1up Nutrition Lemon Italian Ice clear whey isolate protein powder. Seems to me like everything is A-ok to drink but wanted to get y’all’s opinion and recommendations on other protein powders—I simply cannot do anything chocolatey, peanut buttery, berry flavored like a milkshake so I bought this—more like a lemonade! Pretty refreshing for summer. Thoughts? Here’s a pic of the ingrediants!

I personally stay away from any artificial sweeteners especially during pregnancy. So that it has sucralose is a no but also the anti foaming agent would be a red flag for me as well

I drank these protein shakes my entire pregnancy(3rd baby) and while breastfeeding my 2nd baby. My favorite flavor is the snickerdoodle. I prefer this protein shake because you don't have to chug it before it gets thick, I have drank it hours later or the next day and it is still the same consistency as it started. Let me know if you'd like to try it and I can get you a discount code to save some. https://jennifersawicki.le-vel.com/products/thrive/mix/snickerdoodle

Hey Kendall! Good for you for getting in more protein! It’s going to help so much with keeping a clear brain and extra energy as a busy lady and mama. I’m a profession health expert in the nutrition field, and I’m happy to help! The sucralose in this protein powder is the one thing I’d flag — artificial sweeteners like this tend to trigger our blood sugar receptors and hormones to react as if it’s regular sugar, which can cause you to feel worse, lose energy, and get brain fog. It also makes it harder for your body to know how to process the protein correctly. Instead, I recommend trying blending some strawberries, pineapple or banana and milk with a bit or a seed, like tahini, almond butter, walnuts, pecans….we do this at home all of the time and the protein will be much tastier, better for you and way more affective! DM me and I’m happy to give you a recipe or two and help with more ideas!
