Would anyone have any tips about conceiving? Trying for the first time soon

My husband and I will be trying for our first baby soon, and this conceiving journey is all new to me. I am trying my best to gather as much information as I can so that I have an idea of what to expect. Thank you so much in advance!

This sounds like a cringey brand name and TMI, but we used a lubricant called Baby Dance when we conceived both of our sons. No way of knowing if that really made a difference or not, but it worked for us with our first so we used it again and were able to conceive our second. We were both told that we would have issues conceiving so it was a pleasant surprise that we were able to conceive them so quickly. I used the free version of the PreMom app and their LH test strips to track cycles to help predict fertile windows. Highly recommend, especially if you have irregular cycles like me.

I would recommend taking pre-natal vitamins as soon as possible. They will prepare your body and assist will conception. Then you will continue to take these throughout your pregnancy and post natal. I also tracked my cycle and when I ovulated. You can do this by getting ovulation tests/LH tests etc but I signed up to Natural Cycles and tracked my cycle via temperature every morning. It then told me my most fertile days and when to have sex. I know everyone will be different but I conceived within 1 month of tracking my cycle. Unfortunately, we had a miscarriage at 9 weeks. However, after waiting a full cycle (period to come post miscarriage), I did the same tracking etc and we conceived again within 2 months. I’m now 32 weeks pregnant and everything is going good so far! After doing the deed, I would lay flat in bed for 15 mins after before going to the bathroom. Not sure if that helps or if that’s just an old wives tale 😂That’s all we did to try and conceive. Hope this helps. X

Take pre natal vitamins, also remember to have fun trying, a lot of people get lost in the strictness of when to do it but have fun with it and don't put too much pressure on yourself ☺️x
