I’m terrible with needles etc too You’re really brave Try getting the numbing cream from the pharmacy or online it’s more accessible now xxx I insist on it when I’m in hospital even when they try and put me off because it takes 20mins or so to work It’s ok I’ll wait All the best it should help xxx

They’re loads on Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/4FZhPi3

I had 6 weeks of them after I had baby. I was told can do them in stomach or thighs. I put ice on the area before hand just to numb it. But most of them were done without anything

Hey lovely, I had these after my daughter. I found getting my partner to do them for me and into my hip rather than stomach was much less painful. I agree they’re very stingy though. I absolutely hated them so I really feel you x

Hey im on these now gotta take this for a total of 17 weeks. I find if i lay down and my partner does the injection into my stomach it doesn't hurt so bad but there will always be a little sting from it. X

I’ve been on them since I found out I was pregnant and have to do them everyday until I’m 6 weeks PP. sometimes they hurt sometimes I don’t feel them at all. I find doing the injections right underneath your belly button hurts the least but you just have to push the needle in really fast and then the liquid slow! I feel for you I know how bad it is x

I had these and was really stuggling so I rang the antenatal clinic and went it and they gave me another walk through and some tips. I didn't do numbing cream but it sounds like a good idea as I found they hurt.

Honestly I don’t think it’s the needles it’s the substance inside them 😭😭😭 I’m fed up I do my thighs x

I had to have these from 28 weeks pregnant up until 6 weeks postpartum and he was 9 days late too so extra, you can do your stomach or the outside of your thighs pinch tight a bit of skin inject slowly then release the skin dry nit to rub after the injection as can make it bruise more, if your worried try holding an ice cube over the area to numb it first I never did tbh, but I had to get my partner to do the first one as I just needed to know how much it would hurt and tbh wasn't to bad as time went on it got worse because your doing them everyday, but always alternate legs or side of belly your injecting into I found my belly was less painful but was way to itchy afterwards and just had to stop and do them in my legs it still made me itch but just had to cope with it, younwill find that the stuff you Inject stings quite alot for a few seconds then goes away a little, sometimes you may also get lump where the stuff hasent dispurced properly it should go down in a few days but will be quite tender good luck x

My dad goes on fragmin any time he gets a blood clot, he prefers to have others give him his injection (usually my mom) as this helps with the pain. I will be going on lovenox for the first 6 weeks post delivery so by then, I might be looking for the same advice.

Thank you everyone definitely going to start getting my partner to do it for me. normally needles don't bother me in the slightest but I'm also definitely going to start doing it in my thighs. hopefully will make it a little easier for me
