Unwanted Pregnancy

Me and my partner just had unprotected sex and he didn’t pull out and he didn’t tell me he was at his climax this is not what I wanted and I wasn’t particularly happy with him about it. However, I am due my period in 6 days. Will it be likely I will have a period or is it worth getting a morning after pill? If so how do I go about getting it and what?

Usually a lot of pharmacies offer the morning after pill now.. however mindful to know that if you’ve already ovulated - the morning after pill is ineffective x

most pharmacies offer it and I believe you can also order it from SH:24 which is NHS run! it's likely you'll have already ovulated though as you're so late in your cycle

So is it still possible to get pregnant???

“””If we have sex before 7 days of menstruation, the possibility of pregnancy is very low, because this is in the later stages of pregnancy - the luteal phase (lasting 14 days), at this time the egg has been destroyed. changes and is no longer able to fuse with sperm””” This is what I have found on Google so I’m a bit unsure and worried

It's absolutely still possible you can get pregnant, it all depends on when you ovulate but as you're so late in your cycle I'd say the only way to be sure is just to wait and see if your period arrives - taking the morning after pill won't hurt though. if you're not ready for a baby yet, SH:24 are wonderful for providing free contraception, they can even send the pill through the post if you choose so it's definitely worth a look regardless :)

I have order a pill to be on the safe side like you said if I am not ready which I ain’t so fingers crossed things work out for me😭

it's unlikely you'll get pregnant as you're so late in your cycle but I can't guarantee you definitely won't!! definitely make sure to look at your contraceptive options so it won't happen again ❤️

Look into contraception but also please read carefully what you wrote....your partner had unprotected sex with you when you said no.... This is not ok

@Jai I apologise I have edited it

It really just depends on your cycle and when you ovulate. I have a 26 day cycle so once I’ve ovulated I still have 12 days before my next period arrives. So if you are 6 days before your next period I would say you would have possibly already ovulated if you are a regular 28 day cycle, unless you ovulate really late. But usually you have a good week or so after ovulation before your period. Me and my husband don’t use any form of protection but I track my ovulation every month x

@Samantha I’m usually every 28 days so I have already ovulated, ovulation supposedly ended 13 days ago as I also track mine too

If you aren't ready or don't want a baby I would do the morning after pill and then look at getting on contraception x
