If you don't know I'd say that for right now that's a no. For us, right now, isn't the time. We want to continue to enjoy our little boy at the stage is at right now and be able to give him all attention. We only have a small house and want to have at least started looking at moving before starting to try. We have a holiday booked for next year to Cape Verde - I wouldn't want to travel there pregnant. We also want chance to replenish savings as I would want a year off again and if we had moved house our mortgage would have increased so having savings would be very important. We definitely do want another, but not right now. The slightly larger age gap doesn't bother me at all. I have a few friends that have 4 years between their 2 children (both have 2 boys) and they are so close. I don't think having children close in age guarantees a close relationship.

No. It's a struggle & exhausting looking after a toddler not sure I'd cope with sleep deprivation added into the mix. We only have a 2 bedroom house so if it was a boy we'd be stuck as we can't afford a bigger place, we were lucky to get on the property ladder at all. We don't have a car & rely on my parents for lifts a lot & 4 of us wouldn't fit in the back of their car. Plus we can't afford it. We'd love another baby & love for our daughter to have a sibling to play with but I just don't think it's practical for us.

Due august with baby 2. I always knew I wanted 2-3 kids, so even in the deepest sleep regressions and the 18 months of no sleep, I still knew we needed to have another one. At first we wanted to wait until marchie was 2.5-3 to start trying, but things changed with our house move, so we fast forwarded it a year. No regrets, even though I know it will be challenging and I won’t have as much 1 to 1 time with my first, which breaks my heart, I know it’s the right thing for our family.
