Heavy bleeding
Hi All, if anyone could shed light on my current situation I would thoroughly appreciate it.
About 2 weeks ago I had a bit of bleeding very faint bleeding, which was odd because I wasn't due my period till a good couple weeks later, didn't take much notice of it then out of no where had a huge gush of blood and blood clot down the toilet, immediately started filling pads after that and started to feel cramps in bottom of my stomach, decided to take a pregnancy test later that night which came back positive, undoubtedly it seems as if I had had a miscarriage which was a shock anyways because I didn't even know I was pregnant..
Coming up to 2 weeks since that happened and I've been having VERY HEAVY bleeding constantly and a lot of blood clots.. is this normal at this stage or should I be concerned? I have experienced a miscarriage before and I don't recall bleeding as bad as this, I did go n see my Dr and he has booked me in for a blood test but has anyone experienced this like this..
I’m sorry you’re going through this. That’s a scary thing to deal with. I haven’t personally experienced this despite 2 miscarriages, but no body is the same. I imagine the doc will test your HCG. It may be something you have tested 2-3 times. If it was a miscarriage they’ll want to make sure you haven’t retained any tissue. If your body isn’t getting rid of it there may be a need to a D&C, but I think in most cases you wouldn’t need one if you’ve been actively bleeding.
